The building was memorable due to its age. We liked all the original touches & imaginative layout with the mezanine. We enjoyed the fact that it was an plague hospital in days gone by. |

the outside grounds were very pretty the office was closed at 9 p.m. and we arrived our first night at 9:30. Not a good location for activities in the city. Room too small. Staff not very helpful. |

Friendly reception staff, Interesting, unusual building, Good location for getting out and about being close to the motorway. A bit far from the centre of the town although decent pay carparks in town and buses very frequent from close to the hotel (make sure you find out which stop they leave from) |

Very attractive hotel with good sized rooms. Plenty of secure parking. Very helpful receptionist. Wish it was a little closer to the centre of Aix. |

The fountains and the location - close enough to the centre of town but still in a lovely setting and quiet environment. The building and gardens were beautiful. The bedroom upstairs was very stuffy - the fan helped. The design of the bath/shower meant that we had a lot of water on the floor after a shower. |

The hotel building was very pretty, and the mezzanine rooms were attractive, and comfortable for a family of four It was difficult to find our way back to the hotel after dark, as the signposting was not clear |

The reception closes at 8pm. If you arrive after hours the gate will be closed. You'll have to contact the emergency phone number written on side of the gate. No public phone around and you can try the number all night no one will answer anyway. |

Wonderful building in a great setting. Very helpful and friendly service. There is a great promenade behind the hotel along the little river. The highway near the hotel is displeasing loud, so we had not the chance to relax on the "countryside". The Mezzanine was very hot in the night and we did not open the window because of the noise. |

It's convinient and quiet The location doesn't make any trouble in the weekdays. But in sundays, the bus number 6 begins at 9h30. |

The staff were very accomodating. The bus stops practically outside very regularly. The location is beautiful. Hardly a negative, but by booking via booking.com I was locked into having my room cleaned everyday for 3 weeks, having the cleaners move all the stuff around every day. |

Good accommodation for the price and the location. The bus links into town were excellent. A little hot on the mezzanine. Although a fan was provided I would imagine it could be still hot and noisy with the fan running in the heat of the summer months. |

Late night arrival information was excellent. The hotel is right beside the highway, but we couldn't hear the traffic at all. We had a suite on the ground floor with a table and chairs outside - lovely to be able to sit out in the evenings. Breakfast was good. Plus the history of the building was fascinating! |

Ease of access to city centre by bus. Quiet and peaceful area. Although the room has full kitchen facilities there was no jug or toaster. We asked for a toaster but were told there was none available. There was not enough lighting in the room at night which made it difficult to read. |

Easy access to city centre, attractive 16th century property with interesting history, lots of free parking, friendly & informative staff, useful kitchenette in every room, choice of bath as well as shower, good size double bed and quality bed linen, efficient heating system. Traffic noise from motorway, though not intrusive with window closed. |

less people- quite. you can take bus into city easily the cost for laundry is too expensive. |
