Situated in the cultural and historical area of Amsterdam, this hotel is undergoing a complete renovation to offer ultimate luxury and refinement. Already appointed with new furniture, the Renaissance New Bedding and the latest technology, the modern guest rooms and suites now offer an intimate space with a warm colour scheme.

From this excellent location you can easily explore the main attractions, monuments and popular areas of the city. Have a delightful breakfast and step outside the main entrance to find yourself in the very centre.

Currently still in the process of renovation, this hotel will eventually be fully transformed by autumn 2008. You will be able to unwind in the brand-new public places with an entirely new and fresh look, make use of the new executive lounge and unwind in the new fitness centre.

This 5-star luxury hotel offers 402 newly renovated guest rooms and suites (spring 2008). Furthermore, you can make use of dedicated executive services.

But there is even more to reveal: The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is currently in the next stage of the renovation of the public spaces (autumn 2008). The renovated lobby will get a complete new appearance and atmosphere. It will be divided into different zones that appeal to various different senses. All the areas will not only look good, feel good and sound good, but they will have that indefinable Renaissance character that inspires and revives.

The stylish, new executive lounge (autumn 2008), equipped with modern technology and business amenities, will seat up to 75 guests. A brand-new health club and fitness centre will be added to the hotel (autumn 2008), to meet the needs of the sportive business traveller.

Additionally, we will open a new restaurant (autumn 2008) for lunch and dinner, which will specialise in traditional Mediterranean cuisine combined with a sophisticated, urban touch.

In the warm ambience of our new lounge bar (autumn 2008), you can enjoy a first-class cocktail or local and international snacks, while overlooking the lobby.

Food & beverage

For local specialities, a light meal or a quick cappuccino you can enjoy the Koepelcafé, our authentic Dutch pub.

All club rooms and the suite include access to the Club Lounge.

The Healthy Start breakfast is served from 06:00 until 10:00 on weekdays and from 06:00 until 11:00 during the weekend.

During the daytime you can help yourself to complimentary coffee and tea in the lounge.

Hors d'oeuvres are available from 17:30 until 19:30 and drinks from 17:30 until 21:30.

You can make local phone calls (020 numbers) for free. Use of high-speed internet on our computer in the Club Lounge is also complimentary.

Area information

Many of the city's main attractions are within walking distance, such as the Anne Frank House, the Royal Palace and the famous diamond factories.

You can also easily walk to the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum. A number of concert halls and theatres are within easy reach by public transport. The major shopping areas of the city are also located in the vicinity.

Staff was extremely helpful and polite.

Rennovations are a good thing, but the make-shift breakfast area was extremely cramped. Also, the halway was like a maze to our room.

There was building work going on outside our room whicvh created a lot of dust and noise - without the ongoing work this would be a great hotel and I would recommend it post the renovations

Location was good, not far from the train station, lovely friendly staff, very clean.

Room was a bit small for a Deluxe Room, the bed was big and so was not much room around it! Also couldn't use the fridge for my own stuff, as everything was on a sensor, so if we moved anything we would be have been charged. Major rennovations going on, so scaffolding everywhere.

La habitacion estaba muy bien, la cama era muy comoda y el baño estaba muy bien

El hotel esta en obras y hemos tenido algun problema de ruidos, el desayuno no se corresponde con los precios y yo pienso que cada vez desayuna menos jente en los hoteles, mi opinion es que espantan a los clientes con los precios, por el precio de una persona en el hotel desayunamos cinco personas en una cafeteria fuera del hotel asi que yo pienso que los directivos de los hoteles lo deberian de p

het hotel ligt centraal (op loopafstand van het centraal station) in de stad ;het bed en het bad zijn prima. Het hotel moet het, denken wij, hebben van goede arrangementen en die hadden wij geboekt, dus wij waren voldoende tevreden.

De ontbijtruimte is (wellicht tijdelijk?) vooralsnog een chaos. Rustig ontbijten moet niet op het verlanglijstje staan bij dit hotel! Het hotel is rédelijk, maar niet meer dan dat geoutilleerd en geventileerd in kamers en ruimtes en het zal altijd, naar onze vrees, ondanks alle verbouwingen altijd een kruip- door- sluip- door systeem blijven door alle gangen (check het brandsysteem en de nooduitga

Das Hotel wird zurzeit renoviert. Es wäre gut das vorher zu wissen. Vom Angebot Übernachtung mit Frühstück wollte man im Hotel nicht wissen. Wir wurden am Frühstücksraum abgewiesen. Erst nach nachdrücklichen Nachfragen an der Rezeption erhielten wir dann das vereinbarte Frühstück. Jedoch beim Auschecken sollten wir das Frühstück doch zusätzlich bezahlen.
