This very small "hotel" (only three rooms) has an intimate, family ambience, where one can enjoy breakfast in the kitchen with the owner/proprietress. I wanted a quiet room, and the upstairs courtyard room where I stayed could not have been quieter. The location is excellent, opposite the Hermitage and near the opera house. I recommend it enthusiastically. |

I liked the quiet atmospher and personal attention. The room was lovely and a perfect size overlooking the garden. In a busy city this was a perfect oasis from all the noise and people. |

The hotel displays amazing character, making your stay feel like home, even though you're thousands of kilometers away from your country. The host, Elisabeth de Witte, is a very nice person and her attention to detail really made our trip an excellent experience. |

Synopsis is a small scale hotel, wonderfully located close to the center on a quiet canal. The room is complete, with a kitchenette, large bathroom and nice terrace. Elisabeth was a wonderful host. |

Location is excellent and within walking distance of many major attractions.It was a very pleasant surprise to find that the room and facilities were actually quite a bit more than what we expected from the online advertising. The rooms are fully modern, very clean and comfortable and the kitchenette is a real convenience. The owner provided us with excellent service, information and support. |

Elizabeth was fantastic. the room was spacious and comfortable with exceptional detail for the little creature comforts like soup packets in additiot to coffee and tea in room. Not to mention an easter basket on easter morning. The hotel is on a quiet street in a covenient location near the hermitage, skinny bridge and rembrandt house. We would definetly stay here again. |

Location was great, close to tram and metro stops so only 10 mins into central Amsterdam. Spacious room and very comfortable. Personal touches made this much better than staying in a larger hotel. |

It's convenient location is remarkable; everything is within walking or easy subway/train access. The best part of the stay was the 5-Star service and accommodations in a home-like setting - we avoid big glitzy hotels whenever possible. The kitchenette was a terrific plus. Staying in this well-appointed canal house was a marvelous and cost effective experience. Our stay was exceptional in every respect. We will stay at Synopsis on any future Amsterdam holidays. |
