An urban hide-out for 2 persons in the very heart of Amsterdam.
Our philosophy is simple: we feel that hospitality is not a word written in neon text at the facade of the building. Anne’s room has no early morning disturbance of chambermaids, no bell-boy, no endless corridors with rooms, no average furnishing, it’s not an institution. It’s a cozy studio that provides visitors with short-term private accommodation.

All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.

All older children or adults are charged EUR 50.00 per night and person for extra beds.

Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by the hotel.

Supplements will not be calculated automatically in the total costs and have to be paid separately in the hotel.

Deposit

The total price of the reservation will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable.

Hotel information

Anne’s room is named after the hiding place of Anne Frank in wartime Holland. Many canal houses and old ware houses in the city center were built with a house in front and one at the back; the one in the back usually being smaller and more intimate.
The studio is located at the back of the building, 1st floor, and offers excellent privacy. In this highly celebrated area you will have quiet nights because it's not in the front facing. The Oudezijds Achterburgwal which leads directly into the Red Light district. In the evening the street and canal can be busy with visitors.
It is well but simply designed with bright and fresh colors.

Room information

The 2 single beds can be combined to create a twin bed.

In addition to the common amenities all rooms have a stove, coffee maker and water heater providing the opportunity to cook a simple meal.

The window opens to the small patio where you can enjoy the afternoon sun shaded by bamboo, and have your lunches.
Bedlinen, cotton towels, soaps and shampoos are included

Flowers are welcoming you upon arrival.
Smoking is only allowed on the patio and not inside the studio!

If you have special wishes please let us know so we can make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Area information

Right in the heart of Amsterdam, you can easily reach all tourist sights and attractions on foot or by tram.

The hotel is not far from the Zeedijk, which is a busy, narrow street with lots to see. This popular area offers many historical monuments, shops, cafés and small restaurants.

The hotel is also very near the Nieuwmarkt Square, with its many cafés and rich history, linked to its Jewish background.

The room has no window to the outside (only to a closed patio) or to the canal.

We loved having a large space with our own kitchen area and ensuite bathroom, rather than the usual cramped room you get in most hotels. The owners had kindly left fresh flowers to welcome us which was really lovely. It was very quiet, which was surprising given how close the building is to the Red Light District. I will definitely stay there again the next time I visit Amsterdam.

The only fault we found was that our room looked as though it hadn't been dusted in awhile, but other than that it was clean and tidy and provided everything we could possibly want or need and more!

Location was perfect, easy access to everything!!! Within the room, kitchen is fully equipt, have TV with DVD player.

Not that it really matters, but the bed is actually two seperate beds put together.

Great location and privacy. Staff is helpful and kind.

Room and the toilet(!) was cold sometimes (where were the carpets?). Maybe little expensive, if you think about the size of the room or furnitures.The bed was "running away" all the time.

This location was a great space to say. The room (more like an apartment) was clean, and very Safe feeling. It had a outside Private Patio that was very relaxing. The location was fabulous. Right in the heart of the red light district, yet the block it is on is a bit more quiet. We had a back room, which was nice because there was no street noise, it would have been hard to sleep with a front

The large bed was actually two beds pushed together. I understand why they did this as they cannot fix queen/king beds through these hallways, But anytime you laid in the middle or caused any kind of “action” on the bed it would separate. Not really a complaint, just an observation. That’s about the only think I can think of. Everything else was excellent.

The privacy and opportunity for independence - no need to comply with set times for meals etc

I actually found the bed too soft and had to move the mattress to the floor, but problems with beds are fairly common. It's probably just my back!

Third floor smaller back room was unclean, without patio, very poor furniture and bedding, no shampoo or soap, two cups - one chipped.

The room was amasing and Kitty and her husband were very nice. If you are a college student or in that age range this place is good for you its right by th red light district and coffeshops are a stones throw away. Awsome exerience!!

Kitty, the manager, was very helpful and extremely nice. We actually got a different room, but in the same building. It was conveniently located and had many amentities. I would definitely go back there again.

the room was very open and the heaters didn't seem to be efficient enough. The room was a bit cold (nice for sleeping at night though). Other than that, it was great.
