Originally a 17th century inn, the Garth hotel and Restaurant is nestled amid its own extensive grounds and landscaped gardens.

Located on the North East side of The Square, the tastefully modern accommodation offers attractive views of either the countryside or the Victorian elegance of the town. After dining on fresh local produce in the popular à la carte restaurant, relax in the bar with its wide selection of draught and bottled beers, wines, spirits and over 70 malt whiskies.

Garth Hotel is situated in the thriving Scottish town of Grantown-on-Spey. Put firmly on the holiday map by Queen Victoria, the town boasts some of the country's best known golf, fishing and hill-walking opportunities on its doorstep.

The hotel itself offers a private dining room, separate from the restaurant, ideal for small functions of up to 10 guests.

A drying room and golf club storage area are available to help you take full advantage of the area's activities.

Area information

Strathspey Steam Railway (6 miles / 9.5 km) - this full scale steam railway offers a 20 mile (32 km) round trip between the stations at Aviemore, Boat of Garten and Broomhill (the distance quoted above is from Broomhill).

Aviemore Skiing and Snowboarding (14 miles / 22.5 km) - the village is renowned as being a top Scottish location for winter sports. A funicular railway can transport up to 1,200 per hour to Cairngorm Mountain in the winter.

The Cairngorm Reindeer Centre (20 miles / 32 km) - the Cairngorm herd is Britain's only herd of Reindeer, with around 130 roaming between the Cairngorm Mountains and the Glenlivet Estate. Guided trips leave up to twice a day from the centre to take visitors to these very tame and friendly animals.

Tout à fait conforme à l'idée d'un bon Hôtel de campagne, chaleureux et accueillant dans un cadre traditionnel.

L'accès à internet par un passage obligé derrière le comptoir d'accueil de l'hôtel.
