Everything about our stay was brilliant. the land-lord/manager was very helpful we received a warm welcome and was shown to our room by the manager himself, nothing was too much trouble and he made us feel really welcome. the staff were also friendly and efficent, this hotel is well run, the manager obviously puts a lot into it, as his team are happy in their work and friendly. |

The breakfast and staff friendliness were the best points - also location was good sheets/towels were clean It was a bit run down and needed a large re furbishment - wooden floor boards were very noisy particularly late at night/early morning. |

Staff were lovely, very welcoming. The fact that there was no shower in my room, only a bath and when you in a rush this isn't great. Also the soap left in my room had no wrapper and looked like it had been previously used. |

Convenience to abbey Room was filthy - bedding stained , shower black from mould, wallpaper peeling off wall. Found small blue tablet on bathroom floor!! Good job didnt have any children! Overall a disgusting room!! |

If you want Crowne Plaza or Radisson type rooms and service don't stay here. If you want a value for money room with the character you would expect of an old pub, you'll get it. See it for what it is and you won't be dissapointed. |

Just off the main road to Hastings is the surprisingly lovely little village of Battle. The Abbey Hotel is opposite Battle Abbey in the centre of Battle. The Abbey Hotel is, in fact, a very nice pub with rooms and wide choice of beer. Clean and tidy with excellent breakfast and a very helpful landlord. |
