By far the cheapest, yet one of the nicest hotels in the area....just a little more expensive than the hostel down the road...

Disappointed with quality of breakfast which did not appear to be freshly cooked but re-heated.

I thought this was a really nice hotel in a lovely location. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was also excellent.

The room was clean however not spotless, the bedside tables were quite dusty and the tea cups etc had not been cleaned! Also the public bar didn't appear to be open so we were limited about where we could go as we didn't know the area.

ease of access to town

no parking was available.Had to use public parking.Reported non-functioning bedside light,staff promised it would be fixed and it was still not fixed when we we left.

There was nothing to like at this hotel. It certainly should not be a 3 star hotel. It rates as the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.

The executive room was very small. Very small television high in the corner of the ceiling, impossible to see. Bed was very hard. The food was very poor, reheated steak pie, fish dish swimming in oil, very badly presented. The breakfast was of very poor quality, tables covered in crumbs. Poor selection of continental, juices never replenished by the staff. On arrival no porter to help.

It was clean and the bathroom was very big compared to other hotel bathrooms. One of their good points

Stayed on first floor and there were no net curtains or blinds to allow privacy without making the room dark by closing the curtains. Especially as the on looking buildings and hairdressers could look right in. Also I am not sure what the noise was but at around 6.30am it sounded like you were in the engine room of a ship. The noise woke us all up and didn't stop.

the hotel description states they have free wifi (the main reason we booked with them), but you are given one scratch card that gives you 1 hr access. When we asked for additional cards the hotel had run out. Also, room rate on booking.com was 20 pound higher than rate if you just turned up in person and asked for standard room rate.
