This guest house is in an excellent location, just minutes from the city walls and half way between the city centre and racecourse.

Lovingly restored in 2006, this Victorian end of terrace house offers bright and clean non-smoking rooms with modern amenities and antique touches. Three rooms are en suite with big showers, while one room has a cast iron, roll top bath for romantics.

Its close proximity to town makes Ashley Guest House an ideal base for exploring all of York's visitor attractions.

There is free on-street parking when you stay with us.

Please note that unfortunately we do not have any rooms on the ground floor.

All room keys have a front door key, so once checked in, access is 24 hours. 3 rooms have large showers and one room has a cast iron freestanding roll top bath.

Stayed in Room 5 (Attic), which was small but adequate for our stay. Good choices for breakfast, great location - really nice walk into City through park and along river. Would definitely stay here again.

Nowhere to hang clothes, so anyone staying for longer than a couple of days may find this a problem. Could have used a fan at night, as the room was quite warm.

This is a charming B&B. Our room was clean and although it was small the space was used very efficiently. Our host was friendly and very helpful in providing us with information to get around the city. Breakfast was delicious and served in a bright, cheerful room.

Our attic room was tiny. OK for 2 nights, but not for any longer.
