Located in the city centre, next to the small “Suze” canal and the pedestrian-shopping zone sits this hotel. The hotel is within walking distance from the main train station, and the old town.

There is an Internet terminal and tourism information in the spacious lobby.

New since September 2007:
- Fitness and Sauna area free for hotel guests.
- The "Barrique" restaurant with seasonal dishes and wines from all over the world and after dinner bar.
- Seminar and banquet facilities on the top floor with scenic views, up to 100 people.
- Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel.

Our restaurant-vinothèque 'Barrique' offers an insight into the culinary world of local and international fine wines and exquisite dishes in a relaxing ambience.
If you would just like to taste a wine you heard about and you don't want to buy the hole bottle - go to our vinothèque for a "wine taste": The best wines are served in a glass!
To finish the evening have a look at the 'Churchill's Whisky & Smoker's Lounge' with his 250 whiskies. Enjoy a fine scotch or irish whiskey, a brandy or bourbon, a rare single malt or an exquisite glass of wine - with a Cuban cigar - and you will realy feal like Churchill...

Area information

The Mercure Hotel Biel Plaza, located in the heart of Switzerland's watch metropolis, Biel, is only a few footsteps from the central shopping district, traffic-free zone and the old town. The region of the 3 lakes (Lake of Biel, Murten and Neuenburg), with its countless vineyards, is known for its lovely lake cruises, bike paths and hiking trails. Biel is an ideal departure point to Switzerland's major tourist attractions (Basel, Berne, Lucerne, Montreux, Interlaken, etc.).

Biel is situated approximately 90 minutes away from the international airports of Zürich and Geneva and is a mere 30 minutes away from the Bern airport.

The hotel has 3 large banquet and conference halls which seat up to 200 people (depending on hall combination and seating arrangement) and 4 conference rooms each with a conference table that seats up to 10 people.

It is the best hotel in Biel, but that doesn't mean much as in general hotel standards in Biel are not that high...

La comodità logistica.

Ho un appunto da muovere, avendo riservato una camera non fumatori....mi sono ritrovato in una fumatori. L' ho fatto notare alla reception e mi hanno detto che non è grave.mah per questo mi astengo da altri giudizi

Czysty, dobrze zlokalizowany hotel z profesjonalną obsługą. Można płacić polskimi kartami płatniczymi w dodatku opłata jest realizowana w polskich zlotych.

Brak choćby jednego polskiego kanału tv.
