Designed by famous interior architect Sir Terence Conran, Das Triest is a luxury hotel in the centre of Vienna, only 10 minutes from St. Stephen’s Cathedral.

With the opening of the hotel in 1995, Vienna finally had its own hip and modern hotel - a sharp contrast to the city's charming, late 19th-century art nouveau architecture. The former coach station and horse stable on the route from Vienna to Trieste, also known as the “City of Trieste”, was renovated and converted into a unique and contemporary 5-star hotel. The old cross-vaulted rooms, which give the building a distinctive flair, were transformed into lounges, suites and meeting rooms. Das Triest is a perfect example of the symbiosis of history and modern design, offering travellers premium quality and an exceptional, personal service.

Being fairly well situated within a walking distance of Stephanplastz together with Easy access to Internet thru Wifi in the rooms and well served breakfast included in the price of the room

Some of the rooms that were first shown to us looked like more corridors than anything else

the rooms were big and both modern and cozy. The bath tub was amazing...I took a bath everyday! We also loved the bar, and the bartender...he made us this amazing hot drink to help us combat our jetlag.

hotel staff were a little standoffish...

nice breakfast, front desk was very helpful with dinner reservations, nice location... near enough to walk to the city center, but in a quiet area.

313 is a smaller room than the others.... ask for extra pillows.

Breakfast and accommodations were very nice.

Smoking is allowed in the lobby area and seems to rush up the staircase depositing smoke on every floor. To appease non-smoking guests, smoking should only be allowed in the bar.

Restaurant for dinner and breakfasts very good. Bar nice but small. Rooms comfortable with good ensuite. Communication very easy - excellent English spoken.

No relaxation area in lobby/hotel. Some reception staff more helpful/knowledgeable than others. How to turn down the heat?

Das Ambiente und die Atmosphäre.

Der Wellness-Bereich ist sehr minimalistisch. Der Barkeeper könnte sich an Service und Freundlichkeit bei seinen übrigen Hotelkollegen etwas abschauen.
