Other popular places to visit include the town of Füssen, Oberammergau (home of the Passion Play), Ettal Monastery and "Wieskirche" (Pilgrimage Church of the Scourged Saviour). In winter a permanently well-prepared cross-country ski trail (10 kilometres long) starts directly behind the hotel. The nearest downhill skiing areas are located in Höfen near Reutte (approx. 20 kilometres away), in Berwang and Bichlbach (approx. 30 kilometres away), and Lermoos (approx. 35 kilometres away).
