Located in the bohemian Queen’s Quarter of Belfast, a mere 10-minute walk from the city centre, Tara Lodge offers 28 contemporary style bedrooms with warm and genuine hospitality.

Established in 1998, it is the pursuit of excellence and attention to detail which ensures Tara Lodge meets the needs of both business and leisure travelers. A friendly team is dedicated to your comfort, from arrival to departure.

On offer is free secure on-site car parking and the fabulous location means you will be just a few minutes’ walk from many restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets. There is no bar or restaurant on-site, but in Belfast a good time – or rather ‘the craic’, as the locals call it – is never far away.

There are 2 dedicated fully accessible bedrooms with en suite wet room – please request at the time of booking.

Check-in is officially from 16:00 on the day of arrival, but Tara Lodge will try to accommodate every early arrival where possible. Alternatively the lodge can look after your luggage while you go and explore the city and give you a call once your room is ready.

The breakfasts, cooked from fresh for every guest, offer a wide range of choice. Tara Lodge source locally produced, high-quality food to ensure a first class meal to start the day. After all, you can’t come to Belfast without trying the traditional Ulster Fry.

Room information

Stylish rooms offer ultimate comfort with a touch of luxury. Sumptuous beds have pillow-top mattresses and are covered in clean white linen, complemented by soft furnishings with an earthy tone. There is atmospheric lighting for every mood.

Bathrooms are tiled in a contemporary black and white theme with excellent lighting and mirror space. Every en suite bathroom is equipped with a powerful, thermostatically controlled Grohe shower. Each room is equipped with an LCD TV with Freeview and an electronic laptop safe.

Area information

Tara Lodge enjoys a central location in the Queen’s Quarter of South Belfast, a mere 10-minute walk from the city centre. This area of Belfast is hugely popular with locals, creating a great atmosphere and buzz about the city. Both the Waterfront and Odyssey Arena are an approximate 25-minute walk or a short taxi ride away.

Tara Lodge is surrounded by many award-winning restaurants, pubs and clubs – from warm, atmospheric, traditional pubs, to the more contemporary, artistic and stylish cocktail bars. There's something to suit all tastes and budgets.

The room was very comfortable and clean, modern and of good quality. It was nice to have a minature ironing board and iron instead of a trouser press which is of no use to a woman business traveller with skirts and blouses to keep pressed. The TV was a good size and a good picture and the DVD was a nice touch although I didn't have time to watch a film. Warm friendly and helpful staff.

The room standard was excellant!! beautiful bedding and the most unbelievable bed I've ever slept in, SOOOO comfortable.

The rooms were brilliant for the price. so clean and very well decorated. everything you could possibly need was in our room. stayed in other hotels and was charged alot more for a much poorer room. also the staff were extremely helpful, professional and friendly. esp a young man with redish brown hair who was on the desk at night and breakfast service in the morning.

The staff (all 5 I had contact with) were extremely helpful, attentive and courteous - excellent service. The breakfast was generous and good quality, the room was spacious, newly renovated and clean.

Everything! We honestly can't see any reason at all why anyone would pay 2-4 times as much to stay in some of Belfast's bigger hotels. Tara lodge had Everything including location. 10-20 mins walk from City hall, about 2 mins walk from a wide variety of restaurants and pubs. Despite this, the Tara is on a very quiet stretch of road lined with classic charming Belfast brick buildings.

Nothing at all. First time in about 15 years of staying in various B+B's, hotels and guest houses on holiday that I can't think of a single thing to complain about!
