Good location. Good facilities. Given that car parking was extra, appreciated the fact that I could park free for the whole of the day of leaving. Charging for breakfast and parking rather unusual. Given the fuss made of the refurbished restaurant, found the breakfast experience rather out of sync with the elegance of the rest of the hotel. Also surprised by the £1 "voluntary" payment that appeared on my bill ! |

Position of room with view of river. Well equipped room and bathroom. Access road to hotel not clearly marked with hotel sign. If you miss Mill Lane you end up in a no access street and risk cctv leading to fine. |

The facilities are excellent, the leisure centre is small but suited us fine and we would definately go back. Slight issue with our booking but the hotel offered an alternative and didn't end up being an issue at all. Staff are very attentive and friendly. |

There seemed to be a problem in coping with the breakfast service on Saturday morning. Too few staff to clear tables ready for following eaters which resulted in quite a queue and quite a wait for breakfast. |

The staff were helpful, pleasant and available but not intrusive. They were keen to become involved and help in our arrangements. Breakfast was under-staffed and the food ran out more than once. Availability of table supplies like milk and butter were somewhat random. Evening meals can afford to take their time but breakfast needs to be delivered efficiently. It is something by which I always judge a hotel and was on this occasion the only service which was below standard. |

location-communal areas very good. Rooms very nice. Restaurant was shambolic. Room cleaning was good but trays left outside r ooms-- 5 in total with stale food on overnight!! Cleaning staffin morning ridiculously noisy. Our room was knocked on at 8.30 am for cleaning - not good when you are on holiday. Seemed to be a lack of overall management. |

The breakfast buffet was a very good standard. Despite the booking saying check-in from 3pm our room was not available until 4pm, we had to wait in the bar and were given drinks, but we were left waiting a long time before we even received our drinks. I tried to order room service and was told they do not do room service in a saturday - I protested and was put through to another person who took my order, but I was not impressed. |

The room had enough space and nice view. Location and facilities (Sauna, Pool) were also its advantages. The shower was leaky at joint . No apologies about this point from the receptionist after my complain. |

Location was lovely and the room was comfortable. Bathroom needed some attention, handrail in bath loose, bath tap appeared to be falling out of the wall. A loose piece of wallpaper in hallway. When we had room service, the condiments dish had no mayo or tomato sauce and also had used sachets in it. |
