location on the lake and central in Bowness

Numerous probelems. Mediocre breakfast and charged extra for hot english breakfast. Rooms not sufficently warm. Hot water was only warm. Last night of the stay there was a power cut and then no water at all for 12 hours. Hotel did not really apologise and did not offer a reduction in price till i insisted. Seemed incapable of coping. Junior staff helpful and polite but no senior management visible

we enjoyed our stay very much but wish we had been informed prior to our arrival about the spa being out of use due to the recent weather conditions

Sadly our relaxation was significantly interrupted due to a dog persistently barking in the room below.

we found that the hotel was very cold, no heating in the bedroom, you could not sit long in the lounge, also having breakfast the room was very cold

Nothing, but this is typical Macdonald.

The room price exceeds the value. Rooms not looking at the water are overpriced and noisey. We were on the 2nd floor, and the hotel staff work us up at 1:30 am with loud talking and laughter just below our room. . Parking is not convenient, and the check in process was unorganized.

The hotels facilities were exceptional

Was very disappionted with the room ( executive double ).For the cost and description on line this room fell well short of what I expected

It was a nice hotel and The Weather was perfect

Yes bar closes at 12 pm NO room service for drinks very poor

The hotel has very good location for the area

yes if one books three days it should have been the same price for each day rate and not a weekend rate for friday just a suggestion hopefully. I think you would get more people stopping on extra days over the week

Lovely view from the room, friendly staff, couldnt ask for a better location.

Price of drinks and food was just plain stupid - I always expect to pay a little more but £16.00 for a burger and a £5.00 room service charge is way to much.
