Situated in a prime position on the sea front in St. Leonards-on-Sea. The hotel offers traditional hospitality along with a friendly atmosphere.

Purpose built as a hotel in 1828, and numbering the eponymous Queen among its famous guests, the Royal Victoria is an imposing presence on the sea front at St. Leonards. A fine marble staircase leads up from the lobby to the main public areas on the first floor, where you will also find our Piano Bar and Sea Terrace Restaurant.

Whatever the occasion, we at the Royal Victoria can cater to your every need.

For conferences and functions we have a range of meeting rooms to suit all requirements from one to one meetings to large seminars.

The Burton Suite, a multi-functional room, makes an ideal venue for larger conferences, weddings and banquets, having the added advantage of its own dance floor and bar facilities.

The Sea Terrace Restaurant is also available for larger weddings, conferences and functions.
The Royal Victoria Hotel has six fully equipped meeting rooms accommodating up to 100 delegates theatre-style, available between 8am and 6pm.

All delegate rates include the following: fruit cordials, minerals/iced water, boiled sweets or mints, conference blotters and stationary.
Secretarial services and technical equipment can also be arranged.

The Victoria Suite is licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies.

Food & beverage

Lunch is served from 12:00 until 14:00.
Dinner is served from 19:00 until 21:30.
Price of Full English Breakfast (if not included in price of room): GBP 9.50.

Our Piano Lounge and Bar offers both an extensive bar food menu as well as an ideal setting for you to enjoy a relaxing drink, afternoon tea or after dinner liqueur.

Our Sea Terrace Restaurant offers you a selection of both traditional and international cuisine which can be sampled each evening at dinner or on Sunday Carvery, along with a choice of fine wines.

Room information

Bedrooms are unusually spacious which include a number of duplex and family suites. Many of the rooms have separate lounge areas and views overlooking the English Channel and Beachy Head.

For those special occasions there are several suites or luxury rooms and a celebration package to offer you that little something extra.

All rooms have en-suite, colour television, tea, and coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone, as well as the other comforts you would expect from a modern hotel.

The room was very nice staff were very friendly

The orange juice was watered down at breakfast along with most of the fruit juices this was my only concern but that is nothing bad

I liked the proximity to the seafront. I can see there is the potential to maximise the old world charm of the hotel but sadly not much was made of this.

It is undeniably seedy and very tired. For a night's stay we payed almost £200 if you include dinner and it does not meet a reasonable expectation for that kind of money.

Easy check in, large room, no fuss

No heating in the room upon my arrival, quite awful food at dinner and a tepid breakfast even at start time of 8am
