All children under 2 years are charged GBP 3.50 per night and person for cots.

All older children or adults are charged GBP 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.

Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 4.

Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.

Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by the hotel.

Supplements will not be calculated automatically in the total costs and have to be paid separately in the hotel.

Deposit

A fixed amount of GBP 50 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable.

Room information

There are a variety of bedroom styles all with private facilities ranging from single, twin and double bedded to family rooms sleeping 3 or 4 guests. There is a lift to all the main floors. In addition, feature rooms boast a four-poster bed and jacuzzi bath. Most rooms have views over the racecourse.

Throughout the year, York's busy events calendar includes the Food and Drink Festival, St. Nicholas Christmas Fayre, Viking Festival and the Early Music Festival. You will quickly discover why York is regarded as England's best historic city.

Important information

All room reservations to be guaranteed by a valid credit card with expiry and three digit security code. Full prepayment is required for all special promotional package bookings. In the event of a cancellation more than three days prior to arrival, the deposit will be held for three calendar months as credit against an alternative visit within that three month period. All reservations will be held until 18:00 hours on the day of arrival then released unless otherwise notified. Holiday Cancellation Plan is recommended. Details are available.

The Newington Hotel operates a no smoking policy throughout. A mandatory charge of £50 per contravention will be applied to the account.

the hotel was great,breakfast was one of the best we have had, we had dinner there the first night and was amazing 3 course plus tea or coffee all for £19 +free bottle of house wine,the staff where very friendly and the room was great no complaints about anything

excellent location

staff at high level complaining about other staff absences,,,in the hotel bar. Air was quite blue, and in ear-shot of children and guests.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Off road parking in well lit car park. I would stay there again.

Staff friendly and helpful. Bus stopped right outside the door and ran every 10 minutes into the centre of York.

It was middle September and the heating wasn't on. It was a bit chilly in the room early evening so had to go to reception and was given a heater. Other than that everything else was fine.

The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The hotel was also very nice and worth the price we paid. If we are ever in York again, we would definatly stay their again.
