This informal, friendly, non-smoking, family-run hotel with sea views is a 2 minute walk from Newquay town centre and surfing beaches, and is close to golf courses and fishing lakes.

The hotel is the ideal base for exploring Newquay and Cornwall, with the Eden Project just 15 miles away. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from the train station and a 10 minute drive from Newquay Airport.

The hotel can arrange surfing lessons; they will pick you up, arrange for your wetsuit, and drop you back to the hotel. Fishing trips can also be arranged. Group and team parties are accepted (with prior notice only), except in August.

Deposit

20 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable.

The Quies Hotel has a secure indoor storage area for surfboards, golf clubs and fishing rods etc. A PlayStation 2 with games is free to use, as is a selection of DVDs.

Breakfast is served from 08:00 until 09:00.

Room information

All rooms are en suite, or have private bathrooms which have recently been refurbished. Some rooms with sea views are available, though this is subject to availability. You have your own key for access at all times.

Each room has a colour TV/DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and a clock radio. Please see individual room details for a complete list of facilities on offer.

The Hotel is much more like a large guest house. It has a very friendly and welcoming feel and some really nice touches such as a really comfortable lounge (more like one at home) with free tea and coffee. The breakfasts were of a really good quality and freshly cooked and the view from the decking, where you could sit and drink your tea, was really nice. All in all a very pleasant stay.

The access to the car park was down a narrow and un-developed road. The room was a bit on the small side but given the access to a very comfortable lounge this wasn't that important.

excellent stay; clean and comfortable accomodations; hotel staff went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable, even tracking down a last-minute surfing lesson for us on a whim. highly recommended!
