A small, historic, country cottage style property, situated in the town centre. Ideal for business; perfect for leisure. Modern conveniences in a historic setting. (AA four-star Guest Accommodation)

With its beginnings dating back to the 14th century, the Old Vicarage must certainly have a few stories to tell. Today the property retains much of its original character and yet offers all of the modern conveniences you'd expect from a hotel in the 21st century. Our 14 guest bedrooms are all en-suite and have direct dial telephones with modem ports for the busy business traveller. The Old Vicarage is a non-smoking establishment. On-site parking is also available. In Bridgwater town there are a number of good restaurants, pubs and plenty of shopping. Although we operate on a mainly bed and breakfast basis. Our café is open 6 days a week from 10:30am to 5pm and 6:30pm to 9pm for residents. Bridgwater is perfectly situated near junction 23 & 24 of the M5 motorway which is ideal for those travelling on business. The town is also central to all of Summersets’ most famous attractions such as Wells cathedral, Cheddar Gorge, Exmoor National Park, Dunster castle and much much more.

As a smaller property we do our best to offer most of the facilities you will find in a larger hotel; however please read the hotel policies to ensure that we are able to meet your individual requirements.

Food & beverage

As a town centre establishment, the Old Vicarage Hotel is conveniently situated close to a large number of pubs and restaurants. For guests who prefer to eat at the hotel, an evening meal service is available from Monday to Saturday up until 9pm. During the day time, our cafe operates between 10:30am & 5pm with freshly made coffee and home baking. Light lunches are also available.

Lovely builiding - so much potential! Very nice people.Relaxed atmosphere.

The "character room" was rather disappointing. There was one bottle of water between the two of us and no saucers on the tray. Not a big deal, but disappointing. Breakfast was good, but it's better to have a tea/coffee pot rather than water from a thermos/urn.The room was cold too - ate my breakfast wearing my jacket. It just felt a bit half hearted!

All staff were polite, friendly and helpful.

I thought the standard of the room was poor for the amount charged. The furniture and furnishings were very dated and gave the room a depressing, drab appearance. Also, the menu for evening meals was very limited.

The room was awful! very dated and basic with a freezing cold bathroom that was very poorly lit

Saubere Zimmer, sehr bequme Betten, gutes englisches Frühstück, nette Mitarbeiter, Möglichkeit Tee und Kaffe auf dme Zimmer zu machen

その名にぴったりのホテルである。

ホテル全体、また個々の客室の配置・出入りの経路等について、図面を用いてもう少し親切に説明してあると、さらによかったと思う。
