Holiday Inn Edinburgh is a modern hotel, situated in the west of Edinburgh, three miles from the city centre. Next to Edinburgh Zoo and four miles from Edinburgh International Airport.

Good facilities, parking good, handy position for the zoo/city and travel to the North, trips to the Trossacks etc

Lifts were small and the parking instructions were difficult becasue the parking is shared by the zoo patrons. No clear direction signage for the Hotel parking if the area around the Hotel is full.

The rooms were nice and warm and very clean the room had a safe which was useful to keep and valuables room service was very prompt. A bus stop right in front of the hotel straight to town and to the airport number 12 26 and 31 all take you to Victoria street day pass costs £2.50

Easy to get to, close to the city centre

The lights in the room didn't work, bed was uncomfortable, very highly priced for what it is, food wasn't of a high standard, modem box in the room was very loud, not enough tea/coffee/milk in the room, no fridge.

We booked 2 rooms but only used one due to a member of our party being ill, as this was a non-refundable rate the hotel staff would not negotiate or refund the cost?

The convenience of the location to Edinburgh City itself.

Access to public transportation. Very easy to catch a bus into the City Centre and the attractions. The hotel was nicer than I was led to believe by one of the bloggers who said it "was a tired hotel".

Internet expensive, like most hotels.

~Plenty of parking. Right next door to the Zoo so easy if you want to go to the zoo.

We were in a room by a fla roof that had a very loud air conditioning system. The coffee/milk/sugar were ot replaced so did not have enough for the next morning.

Very comfortable, quiet, clean. Friendly and helpful staff.

I found it a little difficult to decipher what we were entitled to re percentage off which drinks. Staff a little over zealous at breakfast, I felt a bit harrassed! Fabulous breakfast though.

Check out at 12.00h - preferred to 10.00h!

Parking provision was actually good, but the overflow parking was poorly signposted, so we ended up squeezing quite a big car into a relatively small space.
