The hotel is situated close to San Sebastian’s town centre and famous “La Concha” bay, famed for it's golden sand and crystal clear waters. In the town centre and along the beachfront there is a wide choice of bars and restaurants, offering traditional Basque cuisine.

The hotel is a great place to relax and enjoy a restful, restorative break in the quiet peaceful atmosphere of Monte Igueldo, where the gentle noise of the wind or the song of the birds is the only sound to be heard.

The hotel has a large private car park, which is available for guests’ use.

There is also a large outdoor terrace.

The hotel’s dining and banqueting rooms provide the ideal venue to celebrate weddings, baptisms or any other kind of special event or occasion. For wedding receptions, the newlyweds can stay free of charge in the hotel’s most luxurious suite.

Food & beverage

The hotel’s own on-site restaurant is one of the finest in the Monte Igueldo area.

The attractive dining halls have a relaxed convivial atmosphere and great views of the sea and the surrounding landscape.

For special events, guests can congregate on the terrace and in the gardens to enjoy an aperitif or an appetiser before heading inside to one of the spacious dining halls. The halls are suitable for any event from 90 to 210 people. Each hall can be decorated according to the specifications of the event and the hotel can also offer various different special menus to complement the occasion.

Parking was free. Internet access was free even though it was not a good trade off for the price of the room. Conveniences were good.

The price was too high. The heating was not very good

The location, the peace and silence, except for the "basura" track in the middle of the night!

I was not aware how far it was, but I got good directions for catching the bus, so I adjusted to the circumstances and the bus schedule. The walk up the hill was worth the peaceful setting.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.I didn't realise when booking that the hotel was so far (35 minute walk to san sebastian town)however with such a fantastic view and regular buses and cheap taxis it turned out to be a good choice.

Hotel Nicol's is a great hotel for a great price. It was very clean and the room was cleaned daily with fresh sheets and towels. The hotel has amazing views of the ocean and the grounds are very nice with tables and chairs outside to enjoy the sunset and a glass of wine.

It is about 7-8 minutes in car up the mountain from San Sebastian so it is not very close to the beaches. But there is a bus (number 16) that runs very close to the hotel.

the peace and quiet also the view

the only negative comment is the hotelwas too far from in town u needed to take taxis and it proved to be costly there was a local bus but uneeded to walk down a hill then thebus scheduale from what iunderstood was every half hour to town
