Brynarth is a rurally-situated guesthouse with a big difference, reminiscent of a small village as it lies nestling into and sheltered by a gently protective circle of hills. It is owned and run by Cathy and Ian Campion and is situated 11 miles south-east of Aberystwyth - within the beautiful countryside but close enough to enjoy the many attractions of Aberystwyth itself and those surrounding it in Ceredigion.

The 17th Century farmhouse and barns have been tastefully and sympathetically renovated in keeping with Brynarth's age and time in history, and the extensive grounds sit beautifully in 8 acres of some of the most stunning countryside in the Ystwyth valley.

Crystal clear spring water comes down from the mountains to supply Brynarth even through the driest of summers. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind, whether for a weekend break or a longer stay. Please note we do not provide televisions (apart from in the Games Barn) in accordance with our policy of relaxing peace and tranquility - it's amazing how the art of conversation and convivial chat improves without it!

There are 5 double rooms plus 2 single, all en-suite either with a bath or shower plus WC. A further double room and a twin are adjacent and share a bathroom, but do have wash-basins within each room as well. These two rooms are ideal for a family. All rooms have tea & coffee making facilities and fresh milk is available from the kitchen. Full English breakfast is included with cereals and toast, and evening meals and packed lunches can be enjoyed by prior arrangement.

The main farmhouse has two first-floor double en-suite rooms with vaulted ceilings, one is much larger with a sitting area and dual aspect, both rooms also have access to an extra separate bathroom.

Close by, the long white stone barn has 5 delightful en-suite rooms, 2 being singles, plus a further double and a twin that share a bathroom and are ideal for use as a family 'suite'. All rooms are centrally-heated with tea and coffee making facilities and are serviced each day to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Breakfast and evening meals are served in the guests' dining room in the main house and you will enjoy the warm welcome of the log fires in the inglenook fireplace in the guests' lounge in the evenings. The exposed beams and old stone walls create a haven indoors - whatever the elements may be doing outside!

To enhance the evenings, there is a licensed 'snug' bar off the main lounge and a separate Games Barn in a further barn where one can enjoy table tennis, pool, darts and bar billiards. There is also a large colour television in the Games Barn.

Brynarth has a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere and in keeping with that we do not provide televisions apart from in the Games Barn. Please also note there is limited mobile phone reception but guests are welcome to take incoming calls on our landline and to make reasonable outgoing calls which may be subject to reimbursement at our discretion. We will also provide internet access for checking of e-mails, subject to availability, to those who need to keep in touch with the outside world!
