The original hotel built on this site dates back from 1740, 6 years before the battle of Culloden when the building was originally a drover’s inn, a stop over point for farmers taking their cattle to and from market.
Its location as we say is perfect for your Scottish Break and has made us popular with guests worldwide as the ideal base to explore the entire Highlands and Islands of this beautiful yet unspoilt area.
We are located on the main Loch Side road (A82) from Inverness to Fort William and the junction of the road to Kyle of Lochalsh and Skye (A887/87) the latter of these roads being recently voted as the most beautiful in the UK .
From the moment you walk in to the Hotel our guests have remarked on the warm welcome they have received with the bar area being a popular destination understandably, considering we have a selection of over 150 Single Malts.
