La Fosse is a town guesthouse with a big difference, more reminiscent of a small village as it lies nestling and sheltered by a gently protective circle of hills. Situated in Hay-on-Wye, "Town of Books", La Fosse Guest House is owned and run by Bob and Annabel Crook and ably assisted by Sue. At La Fosse Guest House breakfast is served in our comfortable dining room, with its exposed ceiling beams and old stone wall, creating a welcoming and cheery atmosphere.
La Fosse Guest House is centrally heated throughout and all rooms are EnSuite, with coloured televisions, and tea and coffee making facilities at hand. Sue is in charge of the accommodation and ensures the rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable throughout your stay. These delightfully furnished rooms allow optimum peace and freedom during your time with us. At La Fosse Guest House we provide keys for your bedroom and the front door so you may come and go as you please throughout your stay. In the morning we serve a full breakfast (catering for varying diets on request).
La Fosse is a three storey, eighteenth century cottage rendered in a traditional stucco design, partially surrounded by a walled floral garden, seating area and Parking Area. On entering this beautifully proportioned cottage, one becomes immediately aware of its rich warmth. This is enhanced by oak beams that span the rooms and the walls constructed from local stone.
Bob, Annabel & Sue ensure your stay is relaxed and will cater to suit your individual requirements. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind, whether for a weekend break or a longer stay. Packed lunches are available from La Fosse at a small extra cost. We make use of local produce wherever possible.
