We would like to extend a warm welcome to our family run, country hotel by the sea - 'Norton House' Swansea. This elegant Grade II listed Georgian Manor House only minutes from Swansea city centre is set in peaceful well kept grounds with ample parking space, just a stones throw away from the seashore of Swansea bay and the village of Mumbles.
The Facilities
Here at Norton House Hotel, Swansea we want to provide the best facilities possible for your stay or special occasion.
Why not relax and enjoy your time with us in our newly constructed Garden Room, which is surrounded by beautiful landscaped garden areas which we encourage you to enjoy.
However, for those of you feeling a little more active - our residents are able to gain free access to our on site gym.
We also provide private function rooms, conference rooms, and our popular dining room which caters for a variety of customers and their needs.
Accommodation
The accommodation at Norton House falls broadly into four categories, standard rooms, superior rooms, family rooms and our newly built apartments. All are en-suite and have colour televisions, tea/coffee making facilities, WIFI and direct dial telephone.
Restaurant
Our award winning restaurant is open seven days a week serving evening meals and lunch which are particularly popular on Sunday’s. We are very proud of the menu we serve in our restaurant, which is skillfully created using local produce and products. Our Chef and his team can cater for all occasions and any dietary requirement.
Location
For those guests visiting Swansea for business purposes, Norton House is perfectly situated just three miles from the centre of Swansea. After a busy day whether it be work, pleasure or travel, relaxing with a drink in the peaceful cocktail lounge or sampling the award winning cuisine of our head chef, will provide the perfect 'winding down' of the day.
Take advantage of the magnificent sweep of Swansea Bay and its foreshore promenade which is only 50 yards from the hotel gates, ideal for an evening stroll.
For those guests on a leisure break and with more time to explore the locality, the wonderful Gower Peninsula (U.K.'s first designated area of outstanding beauty) begins at the picturesque seaside village of Mumbles, which is only a short walk from Norton House.
The City of Swansea is only three miles away, with its art galleries, museums, university and marina development.
For those guests who want activity, there are so many choices, cycling along the coastal cycle path, superb walks, local golf courses, sea fishing and sailing.
How to get to Norton House
By Road - From London take the M4 to junction 42 which is signposted to Swansea.
From the Midlands via Heads of the Valley road (A465) join M4 eastbound at junction 43 and follow signs to Swansea.
From Swansea take A4067 signposted to Mumbles. Approx 3 miles after Swansea, the official 'Welcome to Mumbles' road sign appears on the left. Exactly 1 mile after this sign, look for the Norton House sign on the corner of a right hand turn. Make the turn and the hotel is situated approx 50yards on the left.
By Rail - Swansea is a mainline intercity station with very frequent trains from London Paddington with the journey time approx 3 hours. Good taxi services run the short distance to Norton House taking approx 15 minutes.
To Conclude
It has always been our policy, in the time that we have owned and run hospitality businesses that we endeavor to approach everything as if we were the customer. Over the years, we have come to the conclusion that the all important ingredient in any hospitality business is the quality of it's staff and we feel justifiably proud of our "merry band".
