Whitebridge is a long established Highland Hotel, built in 1899 on the site of a King's House which was destroyed by fire some years before.A King's House was a hostelry used by the soldiers while in a specific area. This King's House was used by the soldiers of General Wade while they were stationed in the highlands.
Building roads was one of the troops duties, and you can still see the original bridge built here in the 18th Centuary. The resident proprietors David and Sarah Murray welcome you to Whitebridge Hotel amid the foothills of the Mondalith Mountains approximately 3 miles from the shores of Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland.
The Hotel itself has 12 bedrooms, all with colour TV and coffee/tea making facilities and most have en suite bath/shower and w.c.An intimate dining room provides for the enjoyment of a high standard of home prepared catering and an extensive and well selected cellar. There is a comfortable residents' lounge and the hotel has two bars: a traditional local public bar and a smaller cocktail bar, where you can relax and choose from the extensive range of malt whiskies available.
Excellent brown trout fishing is available in the area, and outings for salmon and sea-trout can be arranged on request. Stalking, on local estates, is available by prior arrangement. The area abounds with wildlife and is a haven for bird-watchers and naturalists alike.Pony trekking, riding, boating, windsurfing, golfing, off roading, and a host of other activities are available in and around the area.
