Surrounds of native bush reserves offer easy bird watching and bush and nearby lakeside walks. The area has world renowned wild trout fly fishing rivers and lakes, hot thermal pools and the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and other mountain walks including summer ski lifts to mountain restaurants. There are a selection of nearby restaurants inside 15 minutes drive. Minimum stay of two nights.
Tariff per night: one or two persons NZ$160, next two persons NZ$50 each with longstay weekly and monthly discounts available. Breakfasts baskets are available at $15 each. Free fly casting lessons including tackle and advice from resident retired fishing guide for those fishing persons staying a few days. On site labrador, Travis is very friendly and sociable.
